Cookies on this website
What is stored on your device, who stores it, and what declining actually changes. Written to describe what the site does rather than to cover every eventuality.
Nothing loads until you choose
No analytics or advertising cookie is set before you answer the banner. Decline and none is ever set - the only thing kept is oc_consent, which records the decline itself so you are not asked again. There is no 'essential analytics' category here doing work behind a refusal.
Every cookie this site can set
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Kept for | Set when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| oc_consent | OneCounsel (first party) | Records the choice you made on the banner and the date you made it, so you are not asked again on every page. | 12 months | Set when you choose - including when you decline |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another so page views can be counted without counting the same person twice. | Up to 24 months | Analytics accepted |
| _clck, _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Ties a session together so a recording of how a page was used is one session rather than many. Text and form inputs are masked. | Session to 12 months | Analytics accepted |
| ph_*_posthog | PostHog | Identifies a returning device so product analytics can tell a second visit from a first. | 12 months | Analytics accepted |
| li_sugr, bcookie, lidc, UserMatchHistory | Measures whether a visit followed a LinkedIn ad, and allows advertising to be shown to people who visited. | Session to 12 months | Advertising accepted | |
| hCaptcha cookies | hCaptcha (Intuition Machines) | Tells a person from an automated script when the demo form is submitted. Set on the form only, not while you read the site. | Session to 12 months | Only on the demo form |
| _ZCSIQ*, zsiq* | Zoho SalesIQ | Keeps a chat conversation attached to you as you move between pages, so you do not have to start again on each one, and so a reply reaches the person who asked. | Session to 12 months | Always - the chat is how you contact us |
Third-party cookies are set by the vendor, on the vendor's own terms, and the lifetimes above are theirs rather than ours. A vendor we have not finished configuring does not load at all, so on any given day the list of cookies actually present may be shorter than this table - never longer.
Analytics and advertising are separate choices
The banner asks two questions, not one. Accepting analytics does not accept advertising, and the site honours that split rather than treating any acceptance as full acceptance.
Google Analytics is handled slightly differently from the rest, and it is worth being plain about it. Its tag loads with every consent signal set to denied, and is told your answer once you give one - so before you accept it sets no cookie and records no visit. Clarity, PostHog and LinkedIn are not loaded at all until the matching signal is granted.
Changing your mind
Withdrawing has to be as easy as giving, so the choice can be reopened from any page - in the footer, or here:
Changing your answer stops the tags in the same session rather than on the next page. Cookies a vendor has already set are theirs to hold; clearing them is done in your browser, and every browser has a setting for site data that removes them.
