About
We build for one kind of firm, by choice
OneCounsel does personal injury and nothing else. That is a constraint we chose, and it is the reason the software can make assumptions a general tool never could.
Why only personal injury
Software that serves every practice area has to stay neutral about how a case works. Neutrality is what leaves a PI firm running its real process in spreadsheets beside the system it pays for.

A PI case has a known shape
Intake, treatment, demand, negotiation, litigation, disbursement. A general system models a matter, because a matter is whatever the practice area needs it to be — so it can model none of these specifically.
The hard part is the records
Reading medical records and bills, tracking liens, keeping the file straight. That is where PI hours go, and it is precisely the work a general tool leaves to people.
Contingency changes the economics
Nobody is billing by the hour, so time saved is only worth something when it turns into capacity. That changes what is worth automating, and it changes what the software should even measure.
Specialising has a cost, and we accept it
If your firm does more than PI, we are the wrong choice and we say so on the comparison pages. A narrower product is only worth building if you are willing to be narrow.
How we sell
We would rather lose a deal than win one that will not last
Every comparison page on this site names when a competitor is the better choice. The security page says what we do not yet hold. The pricing page publishes no figure rather than a plausible one. A firm that buys on a claim we cannot sustain leaves inside a year, and we would rather have the shorter conversation now.
See it on your own caseload
Thirty minutes with someone who knows personal injury practice. We will tell you plainly if it is not a fit.
