What we have actually done

Specific claims you can check, rather than a statement of commitment. If something here is not true on a page you are using, we want to know.

On this website

  • Contrast is held to AA for the size of the text

Small text meets 4.5:1 rather than the 3:1 that only applies to large text. That is why links and eyebrow labels use a darker teal than the brand accent - the brighter one measures 4.0:1 on white and fails below 18.66px.

  • Everything works from a keyboard

The navigation menus open on focus, not only on hover, so they are reachable without a pointer. Focus is visible on every interactive element, using focus-visible so it appears for keyboard users without outlining a mouse click.

  • Decorative things are hidden from screen readers

The logo mark, bullet dots and arrow glyphs carry aria-hidden, so the company name and link text are announced once rather than twice.

  • Content is not conveyed by colour alone

The platform status indicator pairs its dot with words. A red dot on its own tells a colour-blind visitor nothing.

  • Live regions where content changes

The ROI calculator's results update as you type and are announced politely, so the numbers are not silent to a screen reader.

  • Motion is limited and respectful

There is no auto-playing video, no carousel and no parallax. Animation is confined to hover and focus transitions.

What is not done

We have not had an independent accessibility audit, and we do not claim formal WCAG conformance. The work above is real and was done deliberately; whether it adds up to full AA conformance across every page is a judgment an auditor should make, not us.

What we do have is a gate rather than an intention: automated checks run against the site's navigation, footer and forms on every change, and a serious or critical failure stops the build. Automated testing catches perhaps a third of what matters, so this is a floor and not a substitute for the audit above.

The mobile navigation gap this page used to describe is closed. Below the large breakpoint there is now a menu built on a native disclosure, so it opens from a keyboard and works before the page has finished hydrating, and every section is reachable on a phone.

If you hit a barrier anywhere on this site or in the platform, tell us through the contact form or write to info@onecounsel.legal, and say what you were trying to do. That reaches someone who can fix it rather than a queue. We aim to reply within five working days.
